What we do

Interior, exterior, cabinet, and commercial painting

Mixed projects

Not sure which service fits?

Many projects mix services, like an exterior repaint with trim repair, or cabinets plus walls. List each part separately so you can confirm what is included, what requires repair first and how the work would be sequenced. See the areas we serve.

How to compare painting estimates

Compare the same surfaces and preparation tasks in each estimate. Room names alone can conceal differences: walls may be included while ceilings, doors, closets and trim are excluded. For exteriors, name the elevations, siding materials and hard-to-reach areas. For cabinets, separate doors and drawer fronts from frames, interiors and hardware.

Ask how loose coatings, cracks, stains and damaged material will be handled, and which repairs need another trade. The proposed primer and finish should suit the substrate and existing coating; specify product, sheen and planned application steps rather than relying on the word “premium.” Confirm who moves contents, protects nearby surfaces, disposes of debris and approves additional work.

Compare access arrangements, ventilation, drying and return-to-use instructions, payment terms and exclusions. If a warranty is offered, read its coverage and conditions rather than assuming one applies. A useful estimate makes these choices visible before you authorize work. See the estimate comparison guide for a practical checklist.

Timing

When to paint in the Hudson Valley

Exterior timing depends on the selected coating, the condition of the surface and the forecast. Check the product’s application and drying requirements for air and surface temperature, humidity, rain and overnight conditions. A dry afternoon does not establish that damp siding is ready, and shade or morning dew can change the working window. Ask what conditions would postpone preparation or application.

Interior work also needs suitable temperature and ventilation. Follow product instructions for fresh air, drying, curing and reoccupancy; a closed window or a low-odor label is not a ventilation plan. Discuss how rooms will be isolated, whether occupants can use adjacent spaces and when doors, cabinets or other freshly coated surfaces may return to use.

Share move-in dates, other trades and access restrictions early. Confirm appointment and project availability directly rather than assuming a seasonal slot is open. The project preparation page explains what to gather, and the area directory helps you describe the property location.
